Populating Rootdg
Encapsulate root disk if desired.
- Don’t encapsulate if you don’t plan to mirror!
- Encapsulation requirements.
Add other disks to rootdg.
- Typically only necessary boot disks are added to rootdg. (e.g. those holding swap, /opt)
rootdg is required for vxvm to run!
Rootdg cannot be exported to other systems.
Other diskgroups are easily added post-installation.
